About the role
At Moog, we design and manufacture high-performance systems that power some of the world’s most advanced aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. As a machinist within our Military Aircraft Group, you will machine some of the most challenging parts which will be used on major production programs such as F-35, MQ-25, and FLRAA. In this role, you'll manufacture complex, high-precision components used in flight-critical systems where quality, reliability, and performance are non-negotiable.
This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus. To qualify, candidates must submit their application between July 20, 2026, and September 11, 2026, and is subject to the terms of the bonus agreement.
This role is onsite in Buffalo, NY, on the 2nd shift. 2nd and 3rd shift employees receive 10% shift differential pay.
Responsibilities
- Work from blueprints, process instructions and/or verbal instructions.
- Following a training period, set up and grind complex parts in a high mix, low volume production setting.
- Perform inspection of all work performed using a variety of gauges.
- Actively collaborate with other team members to problem solve within your work area.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience as a machinist OR graduation from a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC certification/training program.
- Demonstrated experience setting-up and troubleshooting process issues with CNC Machines.
- Proficiency using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to, micrometers and dial bore gauges.
- Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
- Enrollment and participation in the company’s F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program is required for this position in accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.).
- This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Pay
Salary Range: $22.00–$27.00 hourly.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, and many region-specific benefits.
