About the role
Per diem hospital care position providing ICU or Telemetry nursing services in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in an acute-care hospital setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic hospital environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia RN license.
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months).
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
- Additional credentials may be required based on specific assignments.
