ICU Registered Nurse - Contract

About the role

Join a specialized cardiovascular unit as a registered nurse, delivering high-quality care to cardiology patients. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with conditions such as post-op open heart surgery, congestive heart failure, and electrophysiology issues. Your responsibilities include collaborating on procedures like PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers, and supporting national clinical trials. You may float to similar units as needed, ensuring compliance with safety and care standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat cardiology patients, including those with post-op open heart surgery, congestive heart failure, and electrophysiology issues.
• Collaborate on procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker placements.
• Support national clinical trials.
• Float to similar units as needed while maintaining compliance with safety and care standards.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of ICU experience.
• EKG proficiency.
• Active Michigan RN license (verification required).
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Skills checklist completed within one year of hire.
• Willingness to float to similar units.
