About the role

Institutional Client Group – Middle Office Support is seeking a Team Leader to lead a high-performing team supporting loan onboarding and funding functions for bilateral and direct loans. This role serves as a critical liaison between key partner teams, ensuring seamless end-to-end execution and consistent, high-quality client and business line experience.

The Team Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence by maintaining strong day-to-day performance, identifying opportunities for process simplification, and improving productivity across workflows. This leader fosters a collaborative, enterprise mindset, partnering effectively across functions to remove friction, enhance client delivery, and support business growth.

A core expectation of the role is strong change leadership. The incumbent will guide the team through transformation by cultivating a positive, inclusive, and resilient team culture, while reinforcing adaptability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team supporting loan onboarding and funding functions for bilateral and direct loans.
  • Serve as a critical liaison between key partner teams to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
  • Drive operational excellence by maintaining strong day-to-day performance and identifying process simplification opportunities.
  • Improve productivity across workflows and foster a collaborative, enterprise mindset.
  • Guide the team through transformation with a focus on adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Build and sustain high-performing teams through clear goal setting, performance accountability, active coaching, and talent development.
  • Promote strong operational discipline, reinforce controls, and foster a proactive risk-aware culture.
  • Implement strong employee engagement and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • Management/supervisory experience.
  • Eight or more years of banking or other relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Diplomacy and cultural competence.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Location Expectations

This role will require three (3) or more days onsite at one of the listed U.S. Bank hub locations.

Pay

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00.
