About the Role
The Women Leadership Program is designed to strengthen the leadership capacities of women in the humanitarian and development sectors. This program focuses on enhancing operational leadership and management skills to help women effectively navigate and negotiate with diverse stakeholders in crisis-affected environments. It aims to address gender disparities in leadership roles and leverage women’s unique perspectives in decision-making to improve humanitarian and development outcomes.
The role involves joining a proposed team as an ICF Certified Coach specializing in leadership development. The coach will provide one-on-one sessions to trainees, focusing on personal and professional leadership growth after classroom training. The goal is to unlock trainees' potential, guiding them to harness and apply their leadership qualities in their work environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized coaching sessions with trainees, focusing on leadership development and personal growth strategies.
- Utilize a range of coaching techniques and tools to facilitate trainees’ understanding of their leadership styles, strengths, and areas for development.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to align coaching methods with the overall objectives of the Women Leadership Program.
- Provide continuous support and feedback to trainees, encouraging reflection and application of learned leadership concepts in their professional lives.
- Evaluate the progress of trainees, offering insights and recommendations to both the trainees and the program team for further development.
Requirements
- Certification from the International Coach Federation (ICF) is mandatory.
- Proven experience in leadership coaching, with a preference for coaches who have worked in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Experience with women leaders in the humanitarian sector is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities related to women’s leadership in the humanitarian and development sectors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals toward achieving their personal and professional goals.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt coaching techniques to fit the diverse needs and backgrounds of trainees.
