Ice Rink Attendant - Recreation Center
About the Role
The City of Rochester invites applications for a part-time, seasonal Ice Rink Attendant position at a Recreation Center. This role focuses on maintaining playable ice conditions and ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and safe. The position requires professional and courteous interaction with the public and operates under the direction of the facility manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate the ice resurfacing (IR) machine to maintain a quality sheet of ice, depending on location and business needs.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and clean floors and restrooms.
- Wipe down or dust equipment, furniture, and windows.
- Remove trash from wastebaskets.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Set up and take down before and after events.
- Enforce facility rules and all applicable local, state, and federal standards.
- Shovel snow as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least 18 years of age.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in custodial work.
- Experience operating machinery.
