Ice Machine Install Technician

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair various makes and models of commercial ice machines.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections to ensure optimal performance and longevity of ice machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain problems, solutions, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in ice machine repair.
• Respond promptly to service calls and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime for clients.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in HVAC/R, refrigeration, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of the principles of refrigeration and related controls, allowing for effective diagnosis, repair and installation of appliance reach-ins and ice machines.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with various ice machine brands and models.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
• Ability to travel and work overnights.
