Ice Cream Project Team Lead
About the role
We are seeking a Project Team Lead to lead and execute capital projects within our dairy manufacturing operations. This role is critical for the E2E design and delivery of the capex projects in the St Albans and Waterbury sites related to the overall site and global agenda. The team leader is a crucial part of ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end execution of industrial projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project integration.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and cost targets.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
Leadership & Collaboration
Management of improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders requires the ability for independent decision making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs for our customers (the factory). The position is responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision. As a member of the factory leadership team, you will be expected to lead other activities in our safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs.
Participates in cross-plant improvement teams. Develop strong partnership with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering and union workforce. Supports root cause analysis on process and utilities issues.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management preferred, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing industrial or capital projects in food or dairy manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of dairy processing systems, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible.
