About the role
In this role, you will support team members and take direct responsibility for clients, including idea generation, execution support, and the marketing of Barclays Capital Markets and Investment Banking solutions. You will help manage institutional client relationships, act as a deputy on select clients and portfolios, support credit applications, and non-financial risk topics. You will bring considerable analytical capabilities to assess complex client situations, comfort operating in higher risk sectors, and a commitment to maintaining regulatory and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients, bridging the bank's offerings and clients' needs to ensure mutual benefit and long-term success.
- Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance.
- Analyze data from various sources, including investment portfolios and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Research and understand client industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
- Design customized solutions addressing client-specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio.
- Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms beneficial for both the client and the bank.
- Provide guidance to clients on financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies.
- Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
- Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
- Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements.
- Escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and strategies.
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
Requirements
- Series SIE, 63, and 79 licensing (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with corporate banking, capital markets, and investment banking products.
- Experience with credit applications, approvals, and related monitoring processes.
- Experience analyzing complex client financial and risk profiles.
- Understanding of non-financial risk management frameworks and controls.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $145,000
Maximum Salary: $215,000
The minimum and maximum salary information includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
