Major duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead The ICAO Government Safety Inspector Operations — Air Cargo Certification (ACC) IPack Team
  • Lead The ACC IPack Team In Identifying And Addressing Deficiencies In The CAA Air Cargo Certification And Oversight System
  • Explain To The ACC IPack Team The Role Of The CAA Inspector In Conducting Demonstrations And Inspections To Ensure Air Cargo Operations Comply With Applicable CAA Regulations, Guidance And Safe Operating Practices
  • Lead The ACC IPack Team In Specifying The Requirements For Approving a Training Programme For An Operator Adding Air Cargo Transport To Its Operations
  • Explain To The ACC IPack Team The CAA Inspector’s Responsibilities For Evaluating Air Cargo Operations During Transport Of Special Cargo And Dangerous Goods, And To Identify Major Aspects Of The Certification Phase For Air Cargo Operations, Including The Preparation And Issuance Of Revised Operation Specifications And Continuing Safety Oversight Of Air Cargo Operations
  • Career Coordination, Organization, Management, And Reporting On The Successful Deployment Of The ACC iPack

Impact of The Outcome of the Position

Advisory support will be provided to Member States in ensuring compliance with ICAO provisions for the certification and oversight of air cargo operations.
