About the role

Ensure employee training and development compliance across all lines of business at the designated station. The Cargo Training Supervisor is responsible for performance management and professional development of station trainers and coaches (classroom and On the Job) to support the way forward for training in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to Station Trainers that mirrors the mission and core values of the company.
  • Implement and maintain the appropriate training standards and principles across all lines of business to maximize consistency and results.
  • Manage end-to-end new hire process.
  • Ensure training compliance and accuracy of all training files (paper and electronic records).
  • Deliver initial professional development training (e.g., Active Supervision).
  • Deliver on all KPIs through effective planning, supporting, and coaching individuals to meet business targets.
  • Partner with station stakeholders (GM, HR, Operations, etc.) to ensure a smooth initial and recurrent training experience for all employees.
  • Effectively manage and communicate station training schedules to maximize trainer efficiency and increase trainee competence.
  • Provide Area Training Manager with regular feedback to improve training experience.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with all direct reports. Discuss performance and ensure succession planning is in place throughout the area.
  • Promote team leaders, trainers, and managers to best fulfill station training goals.
  • Set employee goals, ensuring conformity to company standards and high performance from their team.
  • Manage training audits.
  • Assist the Safety department in incident investigations/reporting and audits.
  • Develop the skills and competence of staff through training, coaching, and on-the-job development.
  • Deliver technical training as needed based on station trainer staffing levels.
  • Manage, motivate, and inspire teams and trainees.
  • Flexible to work off shifts and weekends.
  • Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred within the area of business, Human Resources, Training and Development, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of leadership development and training experience required.
  • In compliance with 1544.405-1544.411; screener must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Proficient in MS Access will be considered an advantage.
  • Aviation background – a plus.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage remote teams.
  • Proven success working in a matrixed organization.
  • Distinct customer focus (internal and external).
  • Problem-solving skills, sound decision-making.

Pay

$24.23/hour.
