IACUC Coordinator
About the Role
This position combines responsibilities for the Imaging Services Reading Room and the Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery clinic. The role supports day-to-day activities, facilitates communication between radiologists, physicians, and patients, and performs administrative and logistical tasks to enhance efficiency and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Act as a physician liaison to support efficient and timely reporting of reading room functions, including monitoring diagnostic worklists and distributing urgent exams to radiologists.
- Answer and triage calls for radiologists; place outbound calls on their behalf.
- Facilitate requests for order changes from radiologists to ordering physicians or scheduling departments.
- Expedite physician-to-physician communication and enhance patient safety and flow by managing patient information and priority.
- Ensure sensitive information is delivered timely, reviewed by the appropriate modality physician, and reports are sent to the correct referring physician.
- Utilize various communication tools and technology systems to minimize delays and increase efficiency.
- Support on-call radiologists with system troubleshooting, problem-solving, and workflow improvements.
- Perform administrative functions for the Otolaryngology clinic, including transporting and storing equipment for clinic procedures.
- Upload images into appropriate applications and support front desk functions as assigned.
- Support referral management processes, including sending and receiving referrals via fax and appropriate applications.
- Perform ancillary tasks with limited supervision to allow radiologists to focus on primary clinical functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of customer service experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficient speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Computer literacy.
- Behaviors conducive to excellent customer service.

Licenses/Certifications
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) – if no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date (required within LA City only).
Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 - $39.69.
