Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and operational priorities.
- Analyze production lead times, capacity constraints, and workload requirements to support effective scheduling decisions.
- Cook up with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure production plans align with business needs.
- Monitor production progress and proactively address scheduling challenges, delays, or capacity concerns.
- Support the prioritization and expediting of critical orders when necessary.
- Maintain accurate scheduling and planning data within enterprise business systems.
- Track and communicate production status updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Aid in balancing workloads across departments to optimize resource utilization and reduce bottlenecks.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or technical school education.
- At least one year of experience in manufacturing, construction, production planning, scheduling, or a related field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, including percentages, fractions, and decimals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic project coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- An associates or bachelors degree in a construction, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, blueprints, or related documentation.
