Hydrovac Technician

As a Laborer, you will assist in the use of sophisticated vacuum excavation equipment and remote tools to complete hydro-excavation. This position offers a growth path for high-performing candidates (which may include CDL School) to become a skilled Operator.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Safely operate high-pressure wands and flexible vacuum hose for excavation needs.
- Assist with hydro-excavation and spotting vehicles while positioning.
- Practice proper housekeeping by keeping job sites and trucks clean, putting tools away, and ensuring an organized workspace.
- Proactively prepare for your day by verifying instructions, reviewing required tools, and completing paperwork with accuracy.
- Exceed client expectations by completing work with professionalism and excellence.
Requirements
- A positive and motivated self-starter with a reliable work ethic.
- A curious and independent problem-solver.
- Comfortable with extensive travel and overnight assignments.
- Able to pass drug and background screenings.
- In good standing and able to meet Pro-Vac and DOT driving requirements (including a valid driver’s license).
- Available to work extended hours when necessary, including nights, weekends, and on-call.
- Demonstrate high-quality professionalism during customer interactions.
- Regularly lift 50 lbs and complete daily physical activity in an outdoor setting.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights.
- Standing and moving for extended periods; operating vehicles across varied terrain.
- Perceiving auditory safety signals, verbal warnings, and radio communications in active field environments.
- Wearing all required PPE, including OSHA-compliant respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, and safety footwear.
- Reading site documentation and accurately operating equipment controls.
- Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and wet conditions.
- Maintaining situational awareness around active traffic, heavy machinery, and underground utilities.
- Working in confined spaces per applicable safety protocols.

Pay
Annual Pay Range: $55,000–70,000
