Hydro Technician Assistant

CEIS Power is seeking a hydro testing assistant with 6+ months of experience working in an industrial environment. This position is on a contract‑to‑hire basis for an industrial manufacturing and service company. The role requires the ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to rapid change and redirection.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working in an industrial environment.
• Comfortable being hands‑on with equipment while learning hydro‑testing on gas compression equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Hydro Technicians with setup, operation, and breakdown of hydrostatic and pressure testing equipment for gas compression and process systems.
• Help prepare piping spools, vessels, and package components for testing by installing blinds, gaskets, bolts, plugs, and fittings.
• Support filling, pressurizing, depressurizing, draining, and drying systems using approved test mediums and procedures.
• Monitor gauges, equipment, and test areas during testing; report leaks, pressure loss, or safety concerns immediately.
• Complete basic documentation, tagging, and identification of tested components to meet quality standards.
• Move, stage, and position materials and components using hand tools and approved material‑handling equipment.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced shop environment.
