About the role

Based in picturesque Gowrie Park, you'll explore some of Tasmania's most spectacular and remote locations while working with industry-leading technology to collect the critical data that powers Hydro Tasmania's renewable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality hydrometric data through monitoring, analysis and fault identification.
  • Install, operate, test and commission remote monitoring equipment across Hydro Tasmania sites.
  • Effectively manage personal workload, priorities and field commitments to deliver quality outcomes, meet deadlines and respond to changing operational needs.
  • Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement in hydrographic standards and monitoring performance.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Hydrography (or equivalent) and a Coxswain qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • Hydrographic field experience, including installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding, testing, diagnostics and technical reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor team members, manage workflows and contribute to asset management and reliability outcomes.
  • Ability to swim and perform a range of physical tasks in changing outdoor conditions, including working in and around water environments and at times in remote areas.

Skills

$94, 400 – $118, 561 plus super
