Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer
What You Will Do
GFT Infrastructure is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth, Beaumont, Dallas, Austin, or Houston, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Fort Worth, Beaumont, or Houston, TX office.
What You’ll Be Challenged To Do
- Perform engineering calculations, technical studies and prepares plans and specifications for a wide variety of projects, including impact analysis, roadway drainage and master drainage plans.
- Provides general oversight, control, and management of H&H analysis and design tasks for a project.
- Performs client and project management duties.
- Prepares technical reports and letters.
- Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS).
- Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
- Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability.
- Provides input for proposals and pursuit of new projects.
- Supervision of junior level staff.
- Makes recommendations on project staffing.
- Communicates independently with clients.
Education | Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 4 to 10 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects.
- Experience with Project proposals and Presentations.
What We Prefer You Bring
- Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred).
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
