About the role
The Hydro Services Manager operates within the West Service Hub of GE Vernova Hydro North America. The role is responsible for identifying and/or responding to and managing the Service needs of Hydro Power Plant owners within the geographical area covered by the hub location.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the West services leader during the bid stage of a project, leading and doing the technical and commercial offer with the support of the hub engineer, the Quality team, the field operation representative and the sourcing representative.
- Act as a project manager and main point of contact to the customer during the project stage, with the same Services supporting team as in the bid stage.
- Collaborate with the sales manager and Services regional leader to develop Services activities.
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, listen to customer needs, and be ready to detect client issues and promote adequate technical solutions.
- Deliver Services commercial and technical proposals with the support of the Services regional team.
- Drive the execution of the services job with respect to time, quality, and costs commitment.
- Build strong relationships and intimacy with GE Vernova clients while demonstrating success in the execution of the jobs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in mechanical or electrical engineering or business administration.
- Minimum 7 years professional experience including: experience in Project management (small size/fast track projects/services projects), experience in rotating machines industry, and experience in customer negotiations.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Hydro Power Plants 30% of the time.
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial role or commercial proposal development role.
- Engineering or Field Operation experience is valued.
- Knowledge of the Hydro customers in the area is valued.

Pay
The pay range for this position is between $91,400.00 and $152,200.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
