About the role

This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, service, and replace hydraulic components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret Technical Orders, hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support aircraft inspections and operational readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Comply with both host facility safety and quality regulations/requirements as well as all applicable Tyonek quality and safety policies to ensure program success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 - 6 years on-the-job experience in hydraulic aircraft maintenance-related discipline, preferably KC-135
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft hydraulic systems
  • Ability to interpret Technical Orders, hydraulic schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and any required visas or travel documentation for CONUS/OCONUS travel
  • Experience operating ground support equipment
  • Knowledge of using specialized equipment, tools, and test equipment in accordance with appropriate USAF Technical Orders and Job Guides preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work, day shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain base access, Common Access Card, and required Government system access

Qualifications

  • Valid state driver's license when required by job assignment
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance
