Job Summary
The Hydraulics Service Technician must measure disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders, comparing them against the original manufacturer's specifications and recommend proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
Job Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Five years’ experience in the analysis of hydraulic cylinder failures and recommendation of repairs.
- Previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of working with close tolerances.
- The ability to read hydraulic schematics would be helpful.
- Previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components.
- Self-starter and works well on their own.
- The ability to speak with customers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Measures disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders.
- Compares disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications.
- Recommends proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
- Completes work in the pump shop.
- Completes work as a machinist at times.
- Completes write-ups and line boring or welding.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Carrying: 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50 lb. pull.
- Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Dexterity: Normal.
- Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
