Hydraulics Service Technician

Job Summary

The Hydraulics Service Technician must measure disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders, comparing them against the original manufacturer's specifications and recommend proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.

Job Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years’ experience in the analysis of hydraulic cylinder failures and recommendation of repairs.
• Previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of working with close tolerances.
• The ability to read hydraulic schematics would be helpful.
• Previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components.
• Self-starter and works well on their own.
• The ability to speak with customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Measures disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders.
• Compares disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications.
• Recommends proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
• Completes work in the pump shop.
• Completes work as a machinist at times.
• Completes write-ups and line boring or welding.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/Carrying: 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50 lb. pull.
• Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Dexterity: Normal.
• Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
