(Hybrid) Journey HCM IT Technology Analyst - SuccessFactors Core HRIS, WFS Time, EC Payroll
SMUD is seeking an experienced Journey Enterprise Technology Analyst to join a highly skilled team of IT professionals. This role focuses on implementing, enhancing, and optimizing leading-edge enterprise applications within our Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystem, including SAP SuccessFactors, core Payroll solutions, and ADP/WFS (WorkForce Software) Time and Attendance platforms.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of enterprise solutions, leading the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and continuous optimization of SAP SuccessFactors, WFS/ADP Time, and Payroll systems to meet strategic business needs.
- Own the creation of functional designs and technical specifications, configuration and execution of rigorous system testing, and the management of end-to-end upgrade cycles for core HCM, time, and payroll applications.
- Manage system upgrades, outages, and integration points, troubleshooting complex issues to resolve root causes and ensure the continuous availability of critical HCM platforms.
- Act as a trusted internal consultant to business partners, designing strategic technical solutions and upskilling the broader team to scale internal HCM platform expertise.
- Proactively identify and implement industry best practices to optimize SuccessFactors, Payroll, and Time & Attendance solutions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to drive digital transformation by evaluating and pitching emerging technologies, automation, and integration enhancements that improve system efficiency and user experience.
- Design and configure enterprise technology solutions to support business units, including developing detailed designs, defining user requirements, documenting business processes, and addressing integration issues.
- Assess the need for modifications and enhancements to existing enterprise applications, perform workflow and process assessments, and design modifications.
- Support the overall effectiveness of enterprise applications by providing technical support, user training, and troubleshooting system problems.
- Design user reports, modify and produce standard and custom reports, and perform ad-hoc queries to meet business needs.
- Plan, review, coordinate, and guide work activities and research for internal/external business unit projects from a functional and/or technical perspective.
- Assist in selecting and orienting new staff, providing training, and evaluating work performance.
- Perform other related duties as needed, including working outside of typical business hours when necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of progressively responsible relevant work supporting departments/business units utilizing enterprise technology solutions in system and business analysis, process design, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience: Five or more years of progressive experience supporting enterprise HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping ecosystems, including hands-on configuration experience with one or more of the following: SAP SuccessFactors Core HR, SF ECP, WFS/ADP Time and Attendance.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of SuccessFactors enterprise HRIS ecosystems, SuccessFactors payroll and WFS/ADP time systems, data structures, and integration points, alongside familiarity with standard system development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with hands-on expertise in requirements gathering, rigorous system testing, and user support. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with S/4HANA core HR data replication, cost center integrations, or financial system touchpoints with SuccessFactors.
- Certification: Certification in SAP SuccessFactors EC, ECP, or WFS/ADP Time and Attendance is desirable.
