About the role
Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As an Hardware Engineer, you will work on innovative phased array antenna systems, engaging with various teams to define, design, optimize, implement, and test products that aim to provide affordable, reliable, high bandwidth connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Engage with an experienced team to conceive and design phased arrays
- Collaborate with Amazon LEO’s various sub-teams and third-party suppliers to drive product definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test
- Understand how design changes impact downstream partners such as operations, supply chain, product management, and reliability
- Lead and review schematic capture and PCB layout
- Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost
- Generate test plans/procedures based off high-level requirement definitions
- Complete board bring-up and perform test campaigns for different modules and subsystems
- Design automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test
- Support the transition of designs to production
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of industry experience in mixed signal PCBA design
- 2+ years of experience in using schematic tools (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Cadence OrCad, or Altium Designer)
- 1+ years of experience in high-speed digital design (SERDES, Ethernet, PCIe, etc...)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent preferred
- Experience with prototyping and implementation
- 3+ years of experience in using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
Skills
- Signal and/or power integrity knowledge

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $117,300.00 - $160,000.00 annually.
