HVIT Instrument Operator (POF Assembly)

About the role

As an Instrument Operator, you will work from drawings and specification sheets to perform assembly work on all types of transformers. This includes winding, coring, insulating, assembling, stud welding, packaging, and related tasks. You should have a general knowledge of clearance and insulation requirements for various voltage classifications.

Responsibilities

• Winding VT and CT coils, inner bushing assembly, and other associated tasks
• Core assembly
• Insulating
• Transformer and component assembly
• Transformer and component packaging
• Stud welding
• Upholding Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must already have work authorization that permits you to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent attendance and quality of work record
• Able to read a tape measure
• Working understanding of math
• Safety-minded and quality-conscious
• Able to work with tools for equipment set-up and operation
