About the role
An entry-level opportunity for an electro-mechanical instrument assembler to join a world-class analytical instrument manufacturer. The work environment is inclusive, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
Responsibilities
- Assemble a variety of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical instruments and sub-assemblies.
- Test sub-assemblies and instruments according to established procedures.
- Assemble a wide variety of kits and accessory items.
- Troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and instruments.
- Follow all procedures and processes.
- Participate in Lean process improvement programs.
Requirements
- Advanced soldering skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, follow written procedures and drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches), power tools (e.g., nut driver), and electronic test devices to assemble and conduct preliminary tests on small assemblies.
- Ability to work interdependently in team settings to accomplish goals.
- Capability to handle multiple assignments and resolve problems using past experiences, skills, and knowledge.
- General knowledge of PCs/computers.
