Instrument Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assemble a variety of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical instruments and sub-assemblies.
• Test sub-assemblies and instruments according to established procedures.
• Assemble a wide variety of kits and accessory items.
• Troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and instruments.
• Follow all procedures and processes.
• Participate in Lean process improvement programs.

Requirements

• Advanced soldering skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, follow written procedures and drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches), power tools (e.g., nut driver), and electronic test devices to assemble and conduct preliminary tests on small assemblies.
• Ability to work interdependently in team settings to accomplish goals.
• Capability to handle multiple assignments and resolve problems using past experiences, skills, and knowledge.
• General knowledge of PCs/computers.
