Instruments Assembler

About the role

X-Rite Pantone in Grand Rapids, Michigan is hiring an Instruments Assembler.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and rework instruments and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with standards
• Maintain an organized work area using 5S principles
• Support inventory accuracy through Kanban and FIFO processes
• Properly maintain tools, equipment, and workstations
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to improve processes and product performance
• Follow all safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical, electronics, manufacturing, or vocational training preferred
• At least one year of assembly experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or production environment
• Basic computer and keyboard skills
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with the ability to work with small components
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and procedures
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work safely with manufacturing materials and chemicals while following established safety procedures

Pay

Pay Range: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour
