About the role

1-2-3 Equipment Solutions, a Tech24 Company, primarily serves restaurant and hospitality customers across Virginia and North Carolina by offering maintenance, repair, and installation/replacement of HVAC, refrigeration, and hot-side kitchen equipment. The company also provides temporary cold storage solutions for planned maintenance and unplanned emergencies.

The Hot & Cold Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment. To excel in this position, you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting, and demonstrate expertise in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates with customers and branch staff regarding the status of repairs to maintain schedules and properly communicate delays.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are available on the vehicle.
• Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
• Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a company advocate.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• 3-5 years of commercial kitchen repair and refrigeration experience
• Superb customer service skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Standard computer skills
• Own industry’s standard hand tools
• Ability to travel extensively within the region
• Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays for on-call rotation (frequency varies with department size)
• Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new techniques and approaches

Universal EPA certification preferred.

Pay

Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
