HVAC Technician Instructor

We are seeking an HVAC Instructor to enhance the college's productivity and efficiency while maintaining the professionalism and decorum expected of our staff. This role requires an EPA Section 608 Universal certification and at least two years of experience as an HVAC technician.

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
• Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other college events
• Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code
• Ensure instruction quality and quantity align with the school’s and industry’s objectives
• Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to maximum learning and retention
• Instruct students during classroom and online sessions
• Administer online courses and tutoring sessions (both online and in-person)
• Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information
• Administer final exams (written and/or practical) on the last day of the module
• Submit final course grades before the end of the week following the term’s conclusion
• Perform other duties as assigned by the program supervisor

Requirements

• 2+ years of in-field HVAC experience
• EPA Section 608 Technician Universal Certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Degree, diploma, or certificate in the field (preferred)

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of and ability to apply current education methodologies and techniques

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
• Friday - Sunday: Off

Pay

$34.62 - $35.10 per hour (based on prior education and experience)
