About the role
The HVAC Technician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery, equipment, and the site. Duties include hands-on assembly and disassembly, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, dismantle, and repair various heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment by testing and inspecting for mechanical or electrical failures.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, or adjust faulty parts, piping, and control wiring.
- Reassemble, test, and adjust HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Clean and secure equipment for optimal operation.
- Make necessary mechanical repairs and tests.
- Make necessary filter changes as scheduled or required.
- Fabricate parts as required using common tools.
- Maintain performance and maintenance records of HVAC equipment.
- Utilize test equipment including volt meters, pressure gauges, die injectors, air balancing equipment, and micro manometers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and maintain a professional work environment.
- Complete required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend necessary meetings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of previous hands-on HVAC experience.
- Knowledge and experience in commercial HVAC applications.
- Knowledge and ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Good physical condition, manual dexterity, and color sense.
- Ability to work in noisy, hot, and cold environments.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
- Must be able to work in an environment with temperatures ranging from below 32°F to above 90°F.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, casino environment under pressure.
- Must be able to work independently and interact effectively with customers, management, employees, and the public.
Benefits
Salary starting rate is $24.40 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
