HVAC Technician – Entry Level
About the Role
Collin Air Conditioning, a family-owned company serving Plano and Collin County for over four decades, is hiring a Residential HVAC Service Technician (training provided). This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with HVAC training or up to two years of field experience who want to develop their service skills. You'll work primarily in Collin County, with routes close to home, and receive structured hands-on training and mentorship from experienced technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC maintenance and assist with residential repairs
- Develop diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Learn proper repair and service procedures
- Work alongside senior technicians on complex calls
- Communicate professionally with homeowners
- Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly approach in the field
Requirements
- HVAC trade school completion strongly preferred
- 0–2 years of residential HVAC or closely related experience
- EPA certification or willingness to obtain it promptly
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in learning the trade
- Basic hand tools
- Dependable, professional approach and positive attitude
- Comfortable working directly with residential customers

Pay
$22–$26/hour, depending on experience and training, with clear opportunity to advance into higher-level service positions earning $70K+.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM. As you gain experience, you'll gradually participate in a limited on-call rotation.
