About the role

Pearce is seeking entry‑level HVAC Technicians to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. This regional position serves the Kingston, New York area (candidates should reside within 60 miles) and is ideal for responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated individuals who are willing to travel and grow in the telecom industry.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, or replace components of entire systems.
  • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to service calls promptly, including emergency call‑out services.
  • Complete daily work reports accurately and on time.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Pearce Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
  • Adapt to evolving duties based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • Universal EPA Certification (required).
  • Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems (preferred).
  • Effective verbal and email communication skills.

Physical / Work Environment

  • Compliance with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA standards.
  • Availability for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
  • Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure; occasional overnights (company pays travel costs and provides per diem).
  • Outdoor work exposed to ambient temperatures.
  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 lb.
  • Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

Compensation

Salary range: $49,920 – $56,160 per year (DOE). Base pay range: $24 USD – $26 USD per hour. Additional compensation may include performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, and per diem.
