Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment and systems. Ensures equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably while maintaining compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable regulations, supporting a 100% uptime environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and control system issues.
  • Inspect, test, and service air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), fan coil units, exhaust systems, pumps, and associated HVAC equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend operational improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Conduct vibration analysis, air flow testing, refrigerant leak detection, and system performance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC control systems, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and BAS/BMS interfaces.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment logs.
  • Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak repairs in accordance with EPA regulations.
  • Coordinate with building engineers, contractors, and facility management personnel.
  • Follow all OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, commissioning, and major overhauls.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school certification in HVAC/R preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and HVAC controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Experience in commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, data centers, or educational institutions.
  • Manufacturer training and certifications.
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems and mechanical equipment operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as required.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1st shift)
