DAE Sung, LLC is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic/Building Engineer Mechanic to support our contract at the Philip Philbin Federal Building in Fitchburg, MA. This is a full-time union position.
Pay
- HVAC Level I: $40.78/hour
- Effective 10/1/2026: $42.78/hour per the collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
- HVAC Level II: $44.86/hour
- HVAC Level III: $47.93/hour
- Effective 10/1/2026: $49.93/hour per the CBA
- HVAC Level IV: $51.00/hour (includes HVAC/Supervisor duties)

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in building maintenance and operation, maintaining facilities, and working on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment
- Competency in operations, preventive, and corrective maintenance on:
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Hot water heating systems
- Domestic water plumbing systems
- Air handlers
- VAV components
- Other HVAC equipment and building systems
- General maintenance knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- High school diploma or GED
- Universal EPA or CFC certification (required)
- Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license (required)
- Technical training in HVAC (highly desired)
- Willingness to obtain/maintain NATE certification within 6 months of employment
HVAC Level Classifications
- HVAC Level I:
- Pay: $40.78/hour
- Qualifications: One of the following certifications: NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star; EPA Universal CFC certification; GSA approval
- Duties: HVAC responsibilities; pursue/receive HVAC local/state journeyperson grade license
- HVAC Level III:
- Pay: $47.93/hour
- Qualifications: HVAC local/state journeyperson grade license (for systems exceeding 10 tons); one of the following certifications: NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star; EPA Universal CFC certification; GSA approval
