HVAC Technician

About the Role

Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on Cell Tower sites. This is a regional position best suited for responsible, self-directed, and highly motivated individuals willing to travel and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry. Candidates should reside within 60 miles of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cooling systems – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call-out services.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
• Operating and maintaining a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
• Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Requirements

• Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
• 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
• Must reside within 60 miles of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
• Must be available for after-hours and weekend call-outs on occasion.
• Must be able to comply with OSHA/FCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

Physical/Work Environment

• Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
• Occasional overnights required—company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
• Driving to remote work sites as needed.
• Exposure to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
• Lifting and moving equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).

Pay

$24.00–$43.00 hourly, based on experience and other factors. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation.
