Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training courses for customers or technical employees on the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC products.
- Create and present quality curriculum within corporate style guides and quality controls across multiple platforms, including PowerPoint, video, hands-on in-person, and virtual reality.
- Understand technical documentation such as manuals (owner, installation, diagnostic, flat rate), service bulletins, and training bulletins.
- Collaborate with internal departments and team members to fabricate a training lab.
- Onboard new technical trainers and distributors.
- Train staff on product updates as needed.
- Prepare training facility and lab prior to training classes.
- Serve as a liaison between sales, product marketing, service department, and training.
- Assist at educational and/or industry conferences.
- Potential to travel up to 20%.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; prefer a two-year college degree, HVAC degree, or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential and commercial (up to 50 tons) HVAC equipment or a minimum of 5 years installing, servicing, and onsite troubleshooting of commercial HVAC equipment or a minimum of 3 years as a technical trainer.
- HVAC experience is a plus.
- Ability to develop testing plans.
- Must handle shifting priorities and moving deadlines.
- Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment, and the technical aptitude to conduct basic start-up and troubleshooting.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and live webinars.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Pay
This is a salaried exempt role with a starting salary range of $65,000 - $85,050 annually. Factors affecting starting salary include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Eligible for an annual bonus under the Company’s applicable plan. Relocation assistance is available.
