Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses
Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems)
Perform installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units throughout the district
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid Driver's License
HVAC Certification required
EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification
5+ years of supervisor experience
5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Manage and continuous evaluation of maintenance program requirements and records
Good customer and employee relations, and good leadership skills
Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, finding root cause of failure
Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems
Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as a member of a team maintaining safety, quality & productivity
Engage in preventative maintenance processes through facility
Willingness to cross train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities
Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order
Meet physical demands as listed above
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
