About the Role
Under general direction, the HVAC Install Manager manages the Branch delivery teams, including Controls and Mechanical Installation teams. You will assist in revenue forecasting, billings, collections, and resource planning, ensuring projects are assigned with appropriate engineering, commissioning, and mechanical resources. The role ensures compliance with state, local, federal, and legal requirements while operating with the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall execution and performance of assigned Controls and Mechanical Installation delivery teams to meet Branch goals and objectives, including SINC, cash flow, backlog growth, SG&A, productivity improvements, and succession planning.
- Establish goals and development plans for all direct reports, evaluate employee performance, and perform salary management.
- Drive asset management, including cost control, billings, collections, and payables.
- Recruit Project Team Leaders, System Team Leaders, and Lead Systems Specialists with the required skills and competencies.
- Ensure estimating and engineering standards are utilized effectively.
- Follow up on customer satisfaction issues and drive resolution.
- Assist the Local Market Manager in preparing the annual strategic and financial operating plan.
- Develop and build relationships with contractors, customers, consultants, and subcontractors in the community.
- Assist in reviewing and interpreting contract terms and conditions.
- Schedule installation projects and equipment backlog, including want dates and ship dates.
- Coach teams on managing project risks, conflict resolution, and establishing project recovery plans.
- Promote securing change orders.
- Ensure compliance with the Safety Program for employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and maintain high ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent HVAC industry experience.
- Minimum of seven or more years of progressively responsible project leadership experience in the Building Construction Industry.
- High-level competence in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to travel based on geographical locations of assigned teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MS Project and MS Tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and negotiate conflict resolution issues.
Pay
Hiring salary range: $112,000–$150,000 (determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and market alignment). This role includes a competitive bonus plan based on individual, group, and corporate performance, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
