HVAC Startup Technician

About the Role

As the AC Start Up & Warranty Technician, you will work with customers to ensure they are offered all appropriate warranty and product service options. You will also handle final stage checks, corrections, warranty services, and scheduled calls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot single and three-phase installations.
• Check heating & cooling equipment is installed correctly and verify cooling and heating operations (pitch on drain lines, coils, etc.).
• Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns for repairs.
• Assess customer needs and offer all appropriate products and services.
• Create and maintain a database of all leads through retail, retail new construction, and product registration.
• Provide constant feedback related to competition and current market standings.
• Build strong relationships with vendor partners to ensure access to the most current information.
• Handle product registration for retail and retail new construction new installations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year minimum residential field experience required.
• Two years of experience in start-up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues.
• Experience in retrofit and new construction HVAC installations.
• EPA Certification: Preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must have reliable HVAC tools.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Able to access and work in attics.
• Working on-call schedules and long hours.
