HVAC Service Technician

Townsend Energy is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join its residential team, seeking someone with exceptional experience troubleshooting and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems; oil and propane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment
• Working with oil, propane, natural gas, and electric HVAC systems
• Propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers
• Experience service / maintenance / troubleshooting / repairing, a wide range of residential and light commercial equipment including oil & propane
• Providing excellent customer service
• Consulting with and educating homeowners on systems and products
• Ability to contact tech support with diagnostic questions
• Daily use of tablet

Qualifications / Skills

• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• 4 + years of HVAC experience
• EPA Universal Certification
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience consulting customers with repair and replacement decisions
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
• Experience with service / maintenance on oil & propane systems a plus!
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate from a HVAC Technical School desired
• MA or NH Gas Licensed desired - we train!
• MA or NH Oil License desired - we train!
• Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment

Schedule

• 1st Shift | 7:30am - 4:00pm | Monday to Friday
• 2nd Shift | 3:00pm - 11:00pm | Monday to Friday
• Weekends Only | 7:00am - 5:00pm | Saturday & Sunday
