HVAC Service Technician
About the role
The Arcticom Group (“TAG”) is a U.S.-based network of commercial and industrial mechanical services companies that provide HVACR service, maintenance, and installation services throughout North America. Industrial and Commercial Mechanical (ICM) is a full-service mechanical contractor serving industrial and commercial customers across the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast since 2012. ICM, a TAG Company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support commercial and industrial customers in and around the Beaumont, TX area.
The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role plays a key part in maintaining Chiller Systems Service’s reputation for best-value solutions, fast response times, accountability, and transparent customer communication.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair mechanical and electrical components of commercial and industrial HVAC systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, RTUs, split systems, vane axial fans, and specialty cooling systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and compliance drawings
- Perform minor piping repairs on HVAC equipment
- Operate equipment and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
- Interact directly with owners, property managers, and building engineers
- Provide repair recommendations and assist with quoting equipment repairs or replacements
- Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of commercial HVAC experience
- Valid Journeyman-level certification
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC or refrigeration-related education or technical certifications
- Universal EPA certification
- Prior commercial or industrial chiller and boiler experience
