HVAC Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Service and repair heating and air‑conditioning systems and components for residential customers.
• Utilize the Straight Forward Pricing Guide® system, including the True Cost Calculator, on each call.
• Assess systems to determine repair versus replacement recommendations and clearly explain options to customers.
• Explain each service and repair performed, ensuring 100 % customer satisfaction before leaving the home.
• Test each system after service or repair to confirm proper operation and first‑time fix.
• Perform thorough inspections to help prevent future breakdowns.
• Accurately complete all paperwork, including written recommendations on invoices.
• Explain Club Membership Agreements to every customer, maintaining at least a 25 % conversion rate for non‑members and a 90 % renewal rate for existing members.
• Provide customer leads to the Sales Lead Coordinator when a potential need for system additions or replacements is identified.
• Adhere to the One Hour Code of Ethics, Team Rules, and Team Philosophy.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of successful experience as a Service & Repair Technician in the HVAC industry.
• EPA Type 2 certification required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication skills and technical competence.
• Willingness to sign the Company Code of Ethics and be videotaped for training and compliance purposes at least six (6) times per year.
• Proficiency with Service Titan software.
• Ability to perform heat‑load calculations for proper equipment sizing.

Compensation

Hourly pay rates range from $24 – $32 per hour, with additional competitive compensation on sales of equipment and IAQ products.
