HVAC Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and industrial equipment.
• Assemble, install, start up, and test new equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and standard test instruments.
• Provide on-site and in-field service, including emergency repairs when required.
• Prepare parts, rework kits, and shipments; manage local pick-ups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate service records, equipment histories, trip reports, and expense submissions.
• Build professional relationships with customer personnel and communicate service findings clearly.
• Provide on-site and in-field service, including emergency repairs when required.
• Document and report on service activities as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized company vehicles and work areas.
• Follow all EST safety procedures, operating standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (Universal or Type III).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related technical fields.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting digital/analog circuitry and electric motors preferred.
• Proficiency with standard hand tools and test instruments.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in demanding physical environments including kneeling, bending, climbing, and exposure to noise or hazards.
