Join Our Team as a HVAC Service Technician — Athens, TX. We have now moved into the Athens area and are looking for experienced HVAC Service Technicians to join our team.

East Texas Refrigeration (ETR) has been a trusted name in residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration in Tyler, where we’ve proudly served the community since 1980. Our reputation is built on dependable, high-quality work across a wide range of clients: from homeowners and property managers to restaurants, retail stores, banks, gyms, and more.

We Specialize In Residential & Commercial HVAC/R service and repair, new construction, and retrofit installations. We're deeply rooted in East Texas — and we’re growing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial & residential HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Respond to service calls with professionalism and urgency
• Complete clear and accurate service reports (including parts used and work performed)
• Deliver top-notch customer service and explain system issues to customers clearly
• Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs are completed safely and on schedule

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on residential & commercial HVAC service experience (required)
• 2+ years of commercial refrigeration experience preferred (walk-ins, reach-ins, rack systems, etc.)
• Previous experience as a lead technician or foreman is a strong plus
• EPA Type II certification (required)
• TDLR Technician license (preferred)
• Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, diagnostics, and safety protocols
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record
