HVAC Service Technician

Main Duties

• Locate and diagnose maintenance problems on equipment
• Conduct warranty services and perform emergency repairs on certain equipment items

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Travel to homes and businesses daily as scheduled
• Perform evaluations & consultations with potential customers
• Determine customer’s needs and discuss all solutions
• Generate sales on every call
• Inspect current HVAC systems for efficiency and safety
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues
• Repair damaged HVAC systems
• Renew maintenance contracts for current customers
• Sell maintenance contracts to new customers
• Maintain accurate inventory of all tolls and HVAC parts
• Obey company Code of Ethics and Team Rules

Supervisor Responsibilities

None at this time.

Minimum Qualifications

• A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• A Valid Driver’s License
• One-year related experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

• Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
• Heavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to time
• Ability to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
• Operate handheld power tools
• Wear personal protective equipment

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day, as needed

Working Environment:

• Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes
• They may work in cramped, awkward positions
• They may work outdoors in all weather conditions
• May work on a roof
