Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of residential and light commercial equipment including air conditioning, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, furnaces, fan coils, rooftop units, economizers, evaporative coolers, and humidifiers.
- Be on time and alert for assigned shift and work the entire shift as scheduled.
- Check in with the client at the beginning and end of each task to keep them informed.
- Obtain client signature before and after completing any work.
- Turn in checks or cash at the earliest convenience for processing.
- Ensure all materials used for each task are properly inputted into Service Titan.
- Respond to all office communications in a timely manner.
- Check in as needed to ensure office dispatcher and/or field supervisor are aware of your status.
- Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required.
- Consult field supervisor or dispatcher in times of uncertainty.
- Communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire service.
- Create detailed job notes in the customer's account for future reference.
- Teach and learn by sharing thoughts/experiences with coworkers in meetings and one-on-one interactions.
- Willingness to try new ideas and recommend process improvements to your manager with the objective of improving efficiency/effectiveness.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace both in a customer’s property and your company vehicle.
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance in accordance with company standards.
- Inform fleet manager of any issues that arise with the vehicle in a timely manner.
- Maintain assigned truck, including gas, checking oil levels, and ensuring regular preventative maintenance is performed.
- Obtain parts, supplies, and tools from inventory or request ordering from Purchasing.
- Understand current company policies and abide by such policies.
- Consider safety as the primary job responsibility, both for personal, coworker, and public benefit, and have general knowledge of safe working practices and MO-OSHA requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience.
- EPA Certification.
- Pass a drug test & background check.
- Competent English communication skills to clearly communicate with coworkers and supervisor.
- A valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Ability to perform multiple technical tasks, operate equipment, adhere to safety practices, and plan/manage difficult tasks.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions, including tight spaces, heights, and hot and cold temperatures.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
