HVAC Service Technician

About the role

This is a full-time, direct placement role at CKP Heating and Cooling. The company is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join its growing team. The technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and providing maintenance to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, heat pumps, commercial equipment, boilers, electric motors, exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, multiple types of compressors, split systems, rooftop units, and building controls.

Responsibilities

• Travel to service calls daily as scheduled.
• Perform consultations with customers.
• Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods.
• Inspect current HVAC systems for efficiency and operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues.
• Repair damaged HVAC systems.
• Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to current customers.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment, tools, and HVAC resources.
• Be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in HVAC Service Industry (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to regularly move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Detail‑oriented and customer‑service focused.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• RETA Certification.
• NATE Certification.

Pay

$20.00 – $50.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday to Friday, on call; typical start time 7 AM.
