About the Role

This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to jump-start their career in HVAC. As a technician, you will perform field activities supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation
• Use technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems
• Work in a team-based environment to ensure customer satisfaction
• Adhere to safety measures at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred (3.5 GPA and excellent attendance)
• 1+ years in a mechanical support role; hands-on HVAC experience preferred
• EPA Certification: Type I & Type II or Universal (preferred)
• NATE certification a plus
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Ability to climb ladders and perform moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
• Technical aptitude for maintenance, service, and troubleshooting
• Excellent customer service and diagnostic skills (electrical and mechanical)
• Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and self-schedule
• Availability for occasional weekend and night work
• Willingness to relocate within the country after training completion

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely access rooftops via fixed/extension ladders
• Work at heights and load/unload tools/equipment from work van
• Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs
• Occasional lifting to shoulder and overhead up to 25 lbs
• Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs
• Climb ladders up to roof height
• Extend reach overhead in repetitive motion
• Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs

Pay

The salary range for this hourly non-exempt role is $33,000 – $41,000 annually, depending on geography, market, tenure, performance, skills, education, and experience. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week (or as required by state law).
