Pay

• Competitive pay from $30–$50 hourly, depending on experience
• Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (for candidates with a Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs efficiently and on time
• Repair and overhaul equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical/mechanical control devices safely and promptly
• Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors
• Conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality performance
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills
• Maintain legible corporate and personal records of work history
• Process job tickets and work orders promptly
• Pick up, deliver, and install cases as needed
• Perform minor construction and remodeling projects, including startups of new installations
• Drive company vehicle safely
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management

(Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license required)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA certification
• Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school (a plus)
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience
• Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets (a strong plus)
• Familiarity with single systems, rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes
• Good driving record and ability to work independently
• Emergency on-call availability
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time
