Responsibilities
The Service Tech 3 – HVAC performs maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring systems are running efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose commercial HVAC units at our customers’ sites.
- Service commercial HVAC, change compressors, fans, and reclaim refrigerant.
- Maintain legible records of work history.
- Able to report to work in a timely manner as scheduled by supervisor.
- Have experience working with commercial rooftop and air package units as well as rack air condition units.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education / Training: AA degree from an accredited vocational technical or junior college, EPA certification required
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in construction HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related industry
- Must have chiller experience.
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems is required.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and piping of refrigeration equipment.
- Knowledge of computer-controlled systems.
- Ability to read and understand refrigeration, electrical and plumbing blueprints.
- Ability to pump down all refrigeration systems and reclaim refrigerant from all types of systems.
- Good communication and presentation skills and excellent customer service.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
- Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
