HVAC/R Service Technician

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary on-site representative of IMD, delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC/R equipment and systems
- Coordinate service work across multiple jobs, accounts, and customer sites simultaneously
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and project teams regarding work status, findings, and recommendations
- Review building layouts, equipment conditions, and job requirements to plan and execute service work effectively
- Utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, software, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete work accurately
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and site safety standards
- Maintain accountability for company tools, equipment, and materials
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule; occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be able to independently diagnose and service: Small tonnage packaged A/C units, Large tonnage VAV units (up to 120 tons), Boilers (maintenance, annual inspections, and repairs), Water pumps, including motor bearings and pump seal replacement, Chilled water and hot water loop systems, Air-side airflow and distribution issues, VRF systems
- Strong customer service mindset and professional presence
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-job service environments
- Clear, confident communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior HVAC/R service experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
