About the Role
The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician position at G.E. Mechanical, LLC involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of HVAC/R service experience, with a preference for commercial refrigeration experience.Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Work with commercial and industrial customers such as restaurants, convenience stores, cold storage facilities, distribution companies, and supermarkets.
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems, including split systems, chillers, packaged units, oil- and gas-fired boilers, and control systems.
- Handle food service preparation equipment.
- Use tablet-based service ticket software for all HVAC/R work performed.
- Provide preventative maintenance services for contract customers.
- Be available for overtime and participate in a scheduled HVAC/R on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of HVAC/R service experience.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, commercial and residential air conditioning and gas/oil heat service experience, commercial and/or residential HVAC replacement experience, food service equipment experience, understanding of control systems and wiring, and EPA certification.
